Corsica River Yacht Club hosts an evening kayak /canoe paddle along the wetlands of the beautiful Corsica River this Friday, May 29 at 6 pm. A moderate paddle along the shoreline will enable paddlers to see nature at feeding time and enjoy the quiet camaraderie of a river at evening. Our exact itinerary will be determined by the wind and weather. But no matter which direction we go, it’s all beautiful.Open to members and their guests. After the paddle we’ll relax around the bonfire to roast hot dogs and marshmallows. BYOB.Don’t have a kayak or canoe? No problem! The first Thursday night race is set for today. So far, the rain looks like it will be coming in after we get off the water, and the wind looks ideal for a quick race. I am planning on having a race, so I hope the rest of you are coming to sail. I will be putting out marks and getting ready for you all starting around 3:30 and will keep a eye on the weather but as of now we are a go.
