SUMMARY:Herbicide Spraying at Conquest Preserve
DESCRIPTION:Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation in partnership with Washington College’s Natural Lands Project will be treating for invasive weeds and trees in several areas at Conquest Preserve on August 10 (rain date is August 11). \nTheir contractor will employ a drone applicator for precision treatment for about 4 hours total that day. The drone flies as low as possible to minimize drift and achieves precision application to reduce chemicals in the environment. \nA significant amount of droning will take place along the road to the yacht club. We’re advised by NLP’s Director\, Dan Small\, that driving in and out should not be unsafe; however\, venturing into those treatment areas on foot is best avoided for 48 hours.
