The 83rd Annual CRYC One Design Regatta was held October 10-12, 2025, kicking off with a wonderful pot luck dinner, a fire in the fire pit, and some stargazing Friday evening. The weekend weather forecast left the fleets smaller than hoped, with 7 Comets, 4 Windmills, and 2 A Cats making it out on the water Saturday. Under cloudy skies and 8 to 12 knots of wind, PRO Fitz, Joe, and the wonderful RC volunteers ran 4 races before the threat of a cell heading for the club sent everyone into shore.
There the Regatta Chair, Roy, with lots of assistance of the club membership, had arranged music, carriage rides, and a great Eastern Shore dinner. With the predictions of more weather on Sunday the Comets and A Cats decided to head home Saturday evening. The Windmills, hoping the predictions were overstated, made the same decision Sunday morning.
A great time was had by all and we hope to see more competitors next year.
