This past Saturday, despite the light wind and overcast skies, 2 Comet’s and 2 Windmills went out to compete on the Corsica River. Thanks to our PRO Lance and his RC helper Tad we had 3 challenging races. Rick , and his crew Thomas, won the day with a borrowed Comet. Thanks, Tom! After they finished first in race 1, Roy and his crew Christian were able to correct out as first in the second race but not in the third, loosing that race by just 10 seconds on corrected time. It was great to see fellow Windmiller Erik, with his crew Valerie out sailing, with her husband Kevin, crewing for John in the newly relaunched Lady in Red. After the race and before the rain we were treated to beer, cheese, and crackers provided by Rick. Geeze, he is raising the bar for all us skippers. ... See MoreSee Less

Corsica River’s 83rd Annual RegattaCorsica River Yacht Club is pleased to invite you back to sail, camp, and relax on the shores for the Corsica River on October 11-12 for a great weekend of sailing and enjoying your fellow sailors’ company. We will, in addition to great sailing, have some of the best camping opportunities. We are having a Potluck dinner on Friday night and an Eastern Shore dinner Saturday night with chicken and crabcake on the menu. Live music Saturday night provided by The Caswells and, weather permitting, carriage rides and a big campfire.
